Abstract EN

This study aimed to highlight the features of the policies and administrative plans drawn up by the French occupation in order to achieve its colonial objectives in various fields.

The study used the historical, descriptive analytical, and the inductive approach's.

The study concluded that France applied in Tunisia the so-called orptive theory or so-called French policy to achieve its colonial goals, as well as its application of the policy of monopoly and taxation, which brought the country into an economic crisis because of the marginalization of national industries.

The study recommended to study the methods and tools used by the French occupation to suppress the revolutions that were being waged against him in Tunisia.
