Abstract EN

Many countries have, in recent decades, adopted administrative reforms to improve the governance of their public administration.

To achieve this goal, these countries are using many modern techniques of management and governance of public administration, including local administration.

In this context, this article aims to highlight Algeria's efforts in the use of ICTs in local administration, by focusing on interests and benefits that local administration can derive from use of these modern means, particularly as regards the improvement of its governance.

From the foregoing, the importance of this topic is first apparent in view of its growing interest in recent years at the national and international levels, and in view of the close link between the use of ICT in local administration and the improvement of its governance, and therefore its performance, and consequently the consolidation of its legitimacy.
