Prices are among the most important trading systems in the Islamic and Christian world.

Therefore, the Islamic State gave it an important place.

Because of its direct impact on economic, social and political life, it also sparked a discussion among jurists about how to control it inside the Islamic markets, and from this perspective the Islamic Maghreb knew during the medieval era a conflict in determining prices within the markets, according to the law of supply and demand, as prices differed from one country to another that it controlled.

A group of primarily political and natural factors, while the ruling authority left the freedom to control prices to merchants.

While another authority used a financial control body to set prices within the markets; It was known previously - the Hisbah - which had an impact in some cases on trade and merchants.

Because of the excesses of the ruling authority, which triggered a war led by the tribes opposing these measures, which they considered unjust against them.

In this article, I wanted to clarify some of the factors that affected price control within the markets; In light of the successive states of the Islamic Maghreb from the 4th to 7th century AH / 10-13AD; He analyzed and criticized the political and economic conditions through the period of the mediating authority's rule, the reasons that led to the rise in prices and the impact on society's life in terms of the emergence of some social ills (such as theft, fornication, cutting off the road.
