Perhaps a search in the documents and in the manuscripts will reveal to us what is new in the biography of these scholars, who gave a lot to cultural life, at a time when the conditions were not conducive to the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

The least duty owed to these scientists is to collect separate information related to their life and their scientific activity, so that researchers can study their efforts and evaluate them in the light of what they have provided.

Among the scholars who appeared in the 19th century was the judge of Constantine and his mufti, Muhammad al-Makki bin Saad al-Boutalbi, 1799-1865, who was a great scholar and who left his mark on the scientific life of the city.
