Before the Libyan writing reached the form we know about today, we find that it has several stages that have painted its history and development, the latter of which was associated with another form of expression and representation, an art in general that appeared long before writing, and was the means of expression of human groups everywhere in the ancient world.

The drawings and rock inscriptions expressed the sequence of several prehistoric ideas and the dawn of history.

Could the Libyan writing in the countries of the Maghreb have its origin in these rock drawings, a daily newspaper made by a prehistoric man ?.

This is what we will try to address in this topic, which aims to find out the authenticity of the Libyan writing and not associated with other alphabets through various rock inscriptions, whose style settled at the last stages on the principle of planning base geometric shapes, such as the letters of the Libyan alphabet.

Whereas, in this study, we will follow the meaning of Libyan writing first, then the geographical distribution of the rock drawings containing the Libyan-Berber writings and their contents, as well as the history of Libyan writing through rock art.

In addition to the areas where the inscriptions spread in the ancient Maghreb, let us finally reach the relationship between Tifinagh and Libyan writing.

This led us to conclude that thanks to the fact that similarity is the dominant characteristic of the two writings, however vocal differences may be, the spread of Libyan writing alone in all the countries of the ancient Maghreb in its Tifinagh form reveals its authenticity first, and then the comprehensiveness of this writing among its inhabitants, which is a reflection of Their unity Libyan language.
