Abstract EN

The documents of the Algerian Revolution differ from the other periods of history in that they result from two administrations: the administration and the French institutions and the administration of the National Liberation Front.

The documents of the French administration have been largely transferred to France with the independence of Algeria.

The documents of the National Liberation Front, largely destroyed during the revolution, and some of them found in the archives in Algeria, or families of the Modjahidines .In this article, we have analyzed the importance of local documents in the study of Algerian society during the liberation revolution.

We knew the meaning of the document, which was local documents, their types and location, and how to use them as an important source for writing history.
