Aisha, the mother, her husband, Attia, Dheifallah, and other characters in the novel) and his skills in the creation of family characters, who are the novel's main protagonists representing six generations in the village: grandfather, fathers, children, and grandchildren.

It also investigates the novelist's skills in maintaining a strong thread running through all generations and carrying the same inherited qualities.
