Abstract EN

Egypt was of a great status in the ancient world in general, and among the Islamic world up till now in Particular.

This is because it was mentioned in the Holy Quran; that is, it is involved in several Quranic stories.

This is reflected in Persian literature.

Persian poets talked about Egypt in their poems since the most ancient epochs of Persian literature till the modern time including their giving account of the story of Moses, the Pharaoh of Egypt and his minister Haman the story of Joseph and Zulikha (the Wife of Egypt's ruler); mentioning its most famous cities such as Cairo, Sinai, and its most important features such as Nile, Tour mountain, or through mentioning some Egyptian Figures, men and modern times.
