This study deals with the mediation efforts undertaken by the United States of America to settle the Egyptian-British conflict on Sudan prior to the revolution of 23 July 1952 and the objectives of the United States to settle this issue.
It also deals with the role of the United States in signing the February 1953 Agreement, To enable the Sudanese to achieve independence, and the impact on its relationship with Egypt and Britain.
