For the AMU countries, regional integration is both an opportunity and a challenge, depending on the opportunities it offers for sustained growth in their economies.
Our interest in this study is mainly focused on estimating the potential of intra- Maghreb trade.
It is also a question of studying the cost of non-Maghreb integration and the impact of the non-completion of AMU’s construction on the economic growth of the member countries.
The gravity model is used through an analysis in accordance with international trade theories

Pour les pays de l'UMA, l'intégration régionale constitue tant une opportunité à saisir qu'un défi à relever, selon que l'on se réfère aux possibilités qu'elle offre pour une croissance soutenue de leurs économies.
Notre intérêt dans cette étude est porté principalement sur l'estimation du potentiel du commerce intra-maghrébin.
Il s'agit également d'étudier le coût de non intégration maghrébine ou l'impact du non achèvement de la construction de l' UMA sur la croissance économique des pays membres à l'aide du modèle de gravité à travers une analyse basée sur les fondements du mécanisme des échanges, conformément aux théories du commerce international.
