Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify coping styles with the psychological stress of families with special needs in the light of some variable.

In order to achieve this objective, the study followed the descriptive approach in its survey form, then the validity and reliability of the study instrument- the scale of coping styles with the psychological stress of families with special needs (prepared by the researcher)- was determined, and then it applied to the study sample of (168) respondents from parents with special needs.

By using the appropriate statistical methods, the study found that members of families with special needs showed a (medium) degree of psychological stress management with an average of 2.76 and a standard deviation of 0.88.

The religiosity method came with an average of 3.86 and a standard deviation of 0.94 (0.94).

The avoidance, escape and denial method in the last rank was calculated with an average of 1.52 and a standard deviation of 0.81.

The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences Mean level (0.05 ≥ α) between the mean responses of the sample of the sample of household members with The differences in gender, type of disability and socio-economic level were found to be significant, while differences were statistically significant at (0.05 ≥ α) in the responses of the study sample members of families with special needs in the total degree of methods of dealing with stress and five methods Of its sub-methods is attributable to variables of degree of disability, level of education of father / mother.

According to these results, a number of recommendations have been presented.
