The current study aimed at uncovering the effectiveness of using electronic mind maps in direct and delayed achievements in science.

The population of the study consisted of primary fourth grade students in Bisha Governorate, at Sofan Primary School (n = 92).

The school was randomly chosen.

The sample of the study included (60) students, that were divided into two groups; an experimental group (30 students), and a control one (30 students).

In order to fulfill the aims of the study, the quasi-experimental design was used for both the experimental and control groups.

After preparing research tools, and ensuring the validity and reliability of measurement and treatment tools, the results proved the existence of statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the mean scores of each of the experimental and the control group in the direct and delayed achievement test, in favor of the experimental group students.

The results also proved the existence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of experimental group students in each of pre and post measurement of the cognitive direct and delayed achievement test, in favor of the post measurement.

In the light of those results, the study introduced several recommendations including the effectiveness of mind map mode in developing direct and delayed cognitive achievement.

Therefore, it recommends benefiting from mind maps in teaching university students and students of other stages in developing different aspects of learning that are associated with their learning field.

In addition, it recommends encouraging faculty staff members in all educational stages and specializations to exploit mind maps in different educational situations, and to benefit from them as visual aids in organizing knowledge and information, as well as holding training programs for teachers and faculty staff members in different educational stages that deal with tools of developing and producing electronic mind maps, in order to benefit from their capabilities in obtaining mind maps with high technical and educational descriptions.
