English Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of flipped classroom strategy in acquiring the concepts of English language for ninth graders in Irbid governorate.

To achieve this aim, the researcher adopted the quasi-experimental approach.

The sample of study consisted of (38) female students are studying at Hartha Secondary School for Girls in Irbid Directorate.

The researcher chose two classes of the nine ones available at the school: one class consisting of (19) students was pointed as an experimental group and the other also consisting of (19) students was pointed as the control group.

The traditional method was used in teaching English concepts to the control group, while the flipped classroom was implemented with the experimental one.

The study tools were tow they are: Achievement (pre/post) test consisted of (20) item of multiple-choice type and YouTube Video modified and designed by Camtasia software.

The Findings of the study revealed that there were significant differences in learning English concepts between both groups: the experimental and the control ones, in favor of the experimental group, and this can be attributed to the use of Flipped classroom in teaching the experimental one.
