Abstract EN

The ancient Egyptian inscriptions and texts from the pre-dynastic period to the coming of the Greeks to Cyrene are considered as the main source that dealt with the ancient Libyan tribes in that period.

The latter begins from the first attempts of the Libyans to enter Egypt and their wars with the pharaohs and ends by their arrival to power and the establishment of the dynasty, which ruled Egypt.

Through these sources, we draw information about this history, which provided us with a picture of their social life.

They also helped to know their homeland and their morphological features, which will be discussed in this article.
