The full picture of the story is mentioned in three main surahs: Hood, stone and, Al tharyat.

One of the manifestations of the graphic miracles of the Qur'an is to mention stories in more than one surahs.

This reason has been mentioned by many of the interpreters and other scholars and researchers.

And just as the graphic miracle is manifested by the distribution of the story in different places of the Qur'an so is its collection.
