Abstract EN

The aim of this research is to affirm the presence of the ideas and aspects of pragmatic theory in the rhetorical thought of Abu Hilal Al-Askari in his book Kitáb al-Sinatayn: al-Kitába wa al-Shi'r (The two skills: writing and poetry) in order to present its theoretical contribution to arabic rhetoric and its criticism about writing and poetry of Arab literary heritage.

We also show his vision on certain pragmatic notions such as the use of speech, the intentionality of the speaker, the interpretation of speech according to the different situations and the parts of communication.

Finally, we note that the study deals with the concepts of the theme cited in the book or implicitly deduced.
