Abstract EN

The fronts of the National Liberation Army, which were established in the border areas of the homeland, were entrusted with responsibilities and tasks that were very strategic for the liberation revolution.

These fronts were considered as rear bases and centers for support and backup, and they had an effective impact in achieving many victories during the liberation revolution.

Based on the strategic roles played by those fronts, this research paper comes in the context of highlighting the role played by the family of Moulay Ahmed bin Sihammou (represented by the two honorable brothers Moulay Al Mahdi and Moulay Abdullah bin Moulay Ahmed bin Sihammou) at the level of the southern front that had an effective political and military role (similar to the eastern and western fronts') that worked to strengthen and protect the Algerian revolution in the southernmost Saharan regions.
