The study deals with the importance and role of the commitment of the principles of good governance in achieving the rationalization of public expenditure and the preservation of state resources through a set of controls and requirements.

Respect for the principles of good governance has become a primary imperative on the agenda of the makers and decision-makers to achieve economic developmentAnd combating the forms of corruption that have penetrated the bodies of third world countries in general and the third world countries, including Algeria in particular, as well as balancing the state budget by rationalizing costs and finding new sources of funding.

- Algeria was one of the countries that realized the importance of good governance and rationalization of public expenditure.

It adopted several policies to make this process a success.

It concluded several agreements with international organizations such as the United Nations and enacted decrees aimed at establishing principles of good governance and rationalizing public expenditure.
