Abstract EN

This research is interested in the study of the relationship between the household and the habitat; a study in the district "Ahmed Deraia" in the City of Adrar.

Starting to determine the concepts: household and habitat, the relationship between marriage and the new habitat, and the important changes in the form of household, their activities and their functions in the new habitat.

The study showed that the neglect of planners of ecological aspects and social characteristics of Algerian household, this neglect caused another kind of crisis; between the material and moral side, "the incompatibility of models and designations with the lifestyle and culture of the individual", causing a collision between the consumer culture (household) and the housing product presented.
