The study of wire communications represents a huge importance in light of the close link between it and the provision of home Internet services, which has become an important demand of the population under the Coronavirus pandemic.

This re.2 *search aimed to identify some aspects wire communications in Egypt, through the study of the development of wire communications in Egypt, and the geographical distribution of some of its components of centrals, telephone lines and subscribers.

Also, the research presented some of the indicators of the efficiency of wire communications in the governorates of Egypt such as telephone density, efficiency of using of telephone lines, the share of the central population, and its share of participants.

The research ended with many results confirming there is a gap between governorates in fixed-line efficiency indicators, increased demand for fixed telephones under the Coronavirus pandemic and the need for more geographical studies to the wire communication domain.
