Abstract EN

Either research has some of the resource uses of the city of Shamiyah with his analysis of illustration to the light of the residential reality and revealing the spatial variation of these characteristics between residential neighborhoods and to identify the problems of the residential sector related to the characteristics of residential buildings and their communities.

The study concluded that the characteristics of the urban economic and social housing units are characterized by the contrast between the neighborhoods of the city for a number of reasons related to the economic and social aspects of the population as well as the morphological stages that characteristics of its residential buildings.

The study also found that the housing sector suffers from a number of problems , including deterioration of some housing units , especially in the old neighborhoods , the small area of some housing , and the presence of planning obstacles facing the development of old residential areas and the spread of overrun areas due to weak government procedures .

The study adopted the method of quantitative analysis of the data obtained through the field study and by distributing questionnaire forms to residential neighborhoods and according to the number of dwellings in each neighborhood.

The study suggested asset of recommendations that would reduce or reduce the problems of residential use in the city.
