Abstract EN

The purpose of the study is to understand Islamic endowment and its contribution to achieving sustainable local development.

The descriptive approach was used to describe the variables of the study (Islamic endowment, sustainable local development).

Whereas, the historical approach was used when giving examples of the endowment history in Islamic civilization and similar systems in the West.

Finally, the analytical approach was used to analyse the relationship between the endowment and sustainable local development.

The study confirms that the endowment works to strengthen the elements of sustainable local development and contributes to achieving its various dimensions (economic, social and environmental).
