Abstract EN

The study dealt with non-governmental organizations and the development of social capital to achieve the values of citizenship as participation and cooperation between all governmental and civil efforts achieve development and improve the quality of life.

The study aimed at developing participation, capabilities, bearing social responsibility, instilling loyalty, belonging and the values of citizenship.

The study was applied to (10) social workers and members of the Board of Directors, as well as (100) beneficiaries of the society’s services, the Society for Community Development in Samol, Gharbia, and its results concluded that cooperation and participation between the government and the people It achieves development as well as coordination, community participation, and volunteering, and it works to improve the quality of life.

The study recommended the necessity of using modern technology and increasing the skills and experiences of social workers to achieve community development.
