The current research aimed to study the effectiveness of a counseling program to develop awareness of the foundations of choosing a life partner for university students in Upper Egypt, and the study followed the analytical descriptive approach, the curriculum and the general curriculum, and generalized the performance of (200) university students, and the experimental sample of (50) university students, and smelled tools on general data, a selection form A life partner, a questionnaire for the foundations of choosing a life partner, and a program to educate students from the research sample of choosing a life partner The existence of statistically significant differences at the level of 0.01 in the basics of choosing a life partner according to the difference of the fourth academic year, according to the educational level of the parents in favor of the higher educational level, according to the profession in favor of the government sector, according to the high monthly income, and in the interest of urban residents and working mothers, The variables most influencing the choice of a life partner (the father’s educational level, the father’s educational level, the mother’s work, the father’s profession, average income, place of residence, age) are the arrangement where the participation rate value is R2 (0,66, 0,64, 0,58, 0,53, 0,49, 0,46, 0,42), and it turns out that the values of "t" were a function of the questionnaire in favor of the dimensional application, and the effect size (N2) = 0.97, and this shows that the impact of the prepared program is significant, and the study recommended the necessity of establishing specialized centers for marriage counseling affiliated with the university, which means providing counseling services before and after marriage for university youth.
