Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the international trends to develop the concept of creative industries and its policies and impact on the information institutions in Arab societies through monitoring technological developments and knowledge in these institutions and their impact on creativity, and the importance of the creative activities provided by the development of the concept of creative industries, and the role of information specialists in This development also sheds light on the challenges facing information institutions in developing the concept of creative industries in Arab societies.

The study used the descriptive analytical approach and the use of both the checklist and the examination of websites of foreign and Arab information institutions as data collection tools.

One of the most important findings of the study is that despite the numerous Arab institutional initiatives to develop the concept of creative industries and their policies and their compatibility with international trends in this regard, there is no significant reflection of these initiatives on information institutions, and therefore the lack of encouraging creativity will make these institutions fall behind Therefore, the study recommends the necessity of incorporating and activating Arab national strategies that emphasize the need for information institutions to contribute to the presence and investment of knowledge to support creativity and effective marketing of the creative activities offered by these institutions.

And raise awareness of its importance in the development of the Arab creative economy.
