Abstract EN

This study shows evidently the reality of curricula of libraries and information inside departments of libraries, information and education technology in faculties of education in Greater Cairo and far they are connected to the progress of informatics and labor market as perceived by the teaching staff members.

The study drives at monitoring the reality of these programs, academic curricula, and scientific content in these departments and show how sufficient the teaching hours that concern the teaching units of these curricula or courses of academic programs.

The study focuses on defining the extent these courses are correlated to the practical field K showing the eminent role of the teaching staff members as well in supporting these courses in order to prepare human qualified cadres for the knowledge age.

The study aims to expose how far qualified these curricula are going along with and coping with modern developments and labor markets needs; showing as well the most important shortness aspects included in these programs and academic curricula, in attempt to remove and overcome such obstacles and weakness points to elevate graduates’ level.
