This research deals with studying and analysis the (fatwa) documents and its value as a knowledge tool and how to make a documental branch from it This research contributes in building a verified knowledge and the research is concentrated on the ( question in fatwa) more than the answering..

And this is applied on the (fatawa documents) published by (imam Mohamed abdou) through his work as the first mofti (advisor) for the Egyptian dar eleftaa (advisory home) from (1899 - 1905) and the number of fatwas published was nine hundred forty four (944)..

And it is saved in two record books in the national documents house The research tries to answer the complicated and overlapped questions about the fatwa documents and what distinguish it from the angle of its writing and taking it as a unique documental type not only in its shape but also in its structure and the style of writing and the way of taking it out to citizens..

Specially that these questions which is projected to imam (Mohamed abdou) is focused on the human with all his layers which makes it capable of getting out a knowledge production by itself.
