Abstract EN

Since the attractiveness of any country to foreign investments is determined by the quality of its investment climate.

This study tries to identify the reality of the Algerian investment climate, by presenting the evolution of indicators provided by reports issued by international institutions.

In addition, we try to show the efforts exerted by the Algerian country to improve its investment climate by adopting a number of reforms.

The study found that the investment climate in Algeria suffers from a marked weakness, as reflected in these indicators which witnessed a negative development, resulting in a modest performance in attracting foreign direct investment.

The study recommended a number of recommendations along the lines of a comprehensive and in-depth reform that touches upon all factors affecting the investment environment, as well as promoting the investment opportunities available in Algeria in order to achieve the desired diversification of the economy.
