Abstract EN

The situation of the city of Constantine is unique, it is what distinguishes it from othercities, this situation characterized by its site and the reliefs that play their roles in theformation of the morphology of the city.

And in this context the question of the morphology of urban sprawl on the physical andnatural side, is what pushes us to be interested by this phenomenon and its variouscomponents.

To achieve promising results we have used the method of the diachronic analysis of thesocio-spatial dynamics of the urban agglomeration of Constantine in order to determine thecharacteristics of this urban mobility in a given period, through the study of the differenttypes of urban densities.

As the study of the macroform was developed for determining the shape of the urbanspot after having subjected it to computations of the indices of the stretch, index of contorsionof the perimeter, index of filling disc, the multi- a multi-variate analysis with principalcomponents, with the aim of providing a spatial dimension analysis which makes it possible toreport urban regularizations which facilitate the reading of what is a large-scale entity, thismorphological analysis also makes it possible to study the relationship between urbanizationand the site, the processes of formation and deformation of the macroform, the functioningand the urban configuration.
