Abstract EN

The issue of Law 12-66 in the light of consideration given by the State to the problems of urban planning and construction at different levels in the face of the obvious expansion of illegal construction and the presence of subdivisions residential property in violation of legal and regulatory requirements.

Consequently, the Moroccan legislator has ordered, through this law, to exclude inspection and surveillance of buildings contrary to the law of town planning; the competencies of the presidents of the collective councils; and to focus on the work of the local administrative authority to address and reduce urban and construction violations, taking into account the role assigned to it, in order to achieve efficiency and governance in the field of urban planning.
