الملاحظ اليوم هو أن دور الأسرة أصبح يتراجع شيئا فشيئا فقد أصبحت الأسرة تتخلي على وظيفتها في الإشراف و الرقابة على الابناء و هذا بسبب المشاكل التي أصبحت تعرقل وظيفة الأسرة فقد أصبح الكثير من الأطفال يعانون في ظل هذه المشاكل كحالات التفكك الأسري خاصة مرحلة الطفولة أين يكون هذا الأخير في حاجة إلى رعاية خاصة و تنشئة اجتماعية سليمة توجه سلوكه في المجتمع و تجعل شخصيته قوية و ثابتة.
