The types of marriage in Algeria greatly owing a serie of economic and social transformations in the few last years, The persistent rise in the age of first marriage of the two sexs was among the most important manifestations of this changement, which points to other factors can determinate the age of marriage like the low standards of living, widespread unemployment, housing crisis, rising costs of marriage, in addition of the increase in the urbanisation level, this explains the disparity in the age of marriage between countrysides and cities in all national censuses.

Our study aims to analyse all the factors and variants which can influence the marriage levels in Algeria; in the countrysides, inherited customs encourage the early marriage especially for girls.
