Urban planning policy and its implications for the reality of the Algerian cityThe new city "Masinisa" in Constantine as a modelThe city is the geographical area where the planning and reconstruction laws intersect with the activities of the population, where all these facts interact with each other and produce an urban area distinct and varied according to the social, economic and cultural characteristics of the population.

Algeria has sought to achieve a city that is consistent with all its components by scientific and international standards in its technical aspects.

The experience of the new cities has been reproduced with the objective of achieving a comprehensive geological regulation to address the problems of major cities in the framework of sustainable urban development.

Through this paper we will try to identify the reality of the new city by evaluating the planning policy followed by the city's morphology and urban landmarks, and the extent of their contribution to solving the problems of the central city.

We have chosen "Masinisa" as a new and promising city as our area of study.

We will examine the compatibility of the planning, urbanization and urbanization criteria of the socio-cultural characteristics of the population under the policy of urban planning and try to know the imbalances experienced by the urban area.
