Abstract EN

The research aims to define the concept of strategic planning for non- profit organizations, as well as the relationship between the concept of strategic planning for the Librarians of the university libraries and how to use it .

Applied method adopted in the practical side of the research.

And we analysis the internal and external environment for the library, and we found that there are some of the strengths points, like provide a permanent building and there are a number of appropriate access points, as well as high efficiency in the programming for those people working in the library.

There are among the weaknesses are the lack of strategic networks with other libraries, as well as the small number of professionals working in the library, but the most important opportunities for the library are establishment of conferences and workshops, as well as the exploitation of opportunities and the available means of information and communication technology.

The research has suggests a numbers of proposals including: 1- Works to improve the group working which in turn helps to increase the library's strengths.

2- Works on the principle of (stimulus) in all its kinds (Financial, Morale and mixed) and pay attention to workers in the library.
