Abstract EN
France had become one of the greatest Muslim powers thanks to the development of its African colonial empire.
It had become apparent to politicians of the French Republic how opportune it was to give Islam the great mark of sympathy, which is the construction of religious buildings in Paris.
Among these Muslim religious buildings, the Paris mosque, inaugurated in 1926, remains as a political tool, which favored the emergence, from Parisian soil, of the first great mosque in France in "gratitude to the Muslim soldiers from North Africa.
And French West Africa died for France”.
Colonial France felt threatened by England and Germany, implemented a policy of seduction towards Muslims during the First World War
