Abstract EN

The current study aimed at utilizing the electronic games in developing some positive values among the primary stage pupils.

The study adopted the descriptive method and made use of a questionnaire for gathering data.

The participants of the study were 200 teachers (males and females) working in primary schools.

The results of the study revealed that the electronic games could be utilized in developing some positive values among the primary stage pupils taking into consideration the following points: avoiding pictures or drawings that conflict with the culture of the society, setting rules and legislations for importing the electronic games, designing games which develop intelligence and thought, setting rules for playing such games in times different from that of studying, avoiding playing wars and adventures games late at night, setting rules that pan harming the competitor, and designing games showing the competitor as a friend not an enemy and that good relations should be kept after finishing the game.

The results of the study revealed that there were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores attained by the teachers (males and females) in their views concerning how to utilize the electronic games in developing some positive values among the primary stage pupils.

There were statistically significant differences resulting from the years of experience among the male and female teachers in their views concerning utilizing the electronic games as those whose years of experiences were less than 3 years were more positive in their views of how to utilize the electronic games in developing some positive values among the primary stage pupils.
