The study of the economic history of any region or country is of great importance, including that of the economic history of the Ottoman Empire and the countries of Western Europe in Modern and contemporary times; Therefore, we find that many researchers and historians have been interested in this matter.

This is because understanding the rise of states, and then their decline, cannot be orbed and understood by studying political history alone, without paying attention to the rest of the other areas of life, including the economic aspect.

The article deals briefly with the ottoman feudal system prior to the year 1453, and then retrace the sixteenth century period as an important and decisive in the development of the most important commercial spirit "the Mercantilism", and finally exposes the various reforms of 18-19 centuries.
