Lebanon enjoys a republican democratic political system that enables the exercise of political pluralism with in a wide range of freedoms and this distinguish it from most of the existing political systems in the region.

The most prominent reason for this advantage is the nature of the Lebanese demographic and sectarian structure that makes all components of minorities incapable of monopolizing power alon.

This positive characterization does not eliminate the existence of multiple gaps and defects that have always caused instability in the internal situation and exposed to setbacks that almost will destroy the Lebanese structure from its foundation.
