This paper deals with the theory of semantic fields in terms of origin and development, their idea, their importance, the types of semantic fields, and the criticisms leveled against them.

The research also dealt with the brief study of the most important semantic relations between the vocabulary of the semantic field and the position of the ancient linguists and modernists.
