English Abstract

Field experiment carried out of field crop department station /college of Agriculure /university of Tikrit during winter Agriculure season (2012-2013) , Elven varieties for using from barley (Aksad ,Amal, Buraq, Braka, Tawtha, Jazeera, Hatra, Sameer, Shoth, Warka and local black barley).

The seeds of varieties obtained from checking and ration center in Saladdin department with four variances levels of potassium fertilizer same as K2SO4 (0,25,50,75) Kg/ha-1 .

The experiment was conducted random black design (R.C.B.D.) with three replications.

The traits was studied peried of heading, plant heaight,number of spikes.plant-1 ,number of grains .spike-1 , grains 1000 weight and single plant yield.

Phenotypic, genetic and environmental variances was estimated and factor difference for then, broad sence heritability , expected genetic advance and phenotypic genetic correlation for traits studied .The result as fallow : The mean squares was positive and high difference significant for all traits studied while plant height traits was significant the two levels of potassium fertilizer and spike length was in first levels of potassium fertilizer .

The genetic and phenotypic variance was high significant of interval until heading for Two levels of potassium fertilizer and lower of traits studied.

The expected genetic advance was moderate for Two levels of potassium fertilizer of in tervals until heading , spike length ,plant height and anon ber of grains for first level of potassium fertilizer.

The genetic variance index was high for single plant yield for first levels of potassium fertilizer.

The genetic correlation was positive and high significant for first level of potassium fertilizer with anon ber of grains/spike , grains 1000 weight and negative high significant with interval until heading and positive high significant for the levels potassium fertilizer for plant height with single plant yield for two levels fertilizer with spike length with single plant yield
