The term secularism is among the terms that have won many opinions in the contemporary Arab community.

Tunisian philosopher Abu Yarub Marzouki is considered one of the contemporary Arab philosophers who adopted the idea of secularism and gave birth to a new approach to secularism, which he called "faitul secularism", which differs from the extreme secularism (olute secularism) that emerged in Europe during the Enlightenment and was seeking to distance religion from the state.

This term was exposed to a set of slippages and crises, especially in Arab thought, what is the crisis in secularism? How did the Arab visions of the concept of secularism manifest? How can this concept be built within Arab thought? Finally, can philosophy offer a solution to this crisis?
