It became, more than ever, in need of legal protection against fraud in goods and services in its various stages of production, import, storage and distribution.

And Egypt was not immune to these changes and transformations, as the Egyptian economy witnessed a new stage of its development stages, so these developments kept pace with their great advantages represented in the advancement of the standard of living of the Egyptian consumer through the diversity and multiplicity of goods and services, but in contrast they had many negative aspects, Where products were invaded by markets whose nature and source are unknown, and this abundance was at the expense of quality and quality, and the consumer became vulnerable to maneuvers and manipulation by greed and desire to achieve profit at the expense of consumer safety.

Who pays the price of all these practices, and in the face of this situation, the Egyptian legislator enters in favor of consumer protection with a set of laws and decrees that he adapts from time to time due to the change and development of these risks according to changing trade methods and consumption patterns to achieve deterrence that is in the interest of protecting consumers.

The Egyptian legislator went along with the great and rapid change witnessed by the economic arena, especially in the field of trade and the accompanying emergence of new risks that were not previously threatening the category of consumers, so the legislator was aware of it in its place where the new Consumer Protection Law No.
