Abstract EN

This study aimed at depicting the reality of the use of Digital Learning Objects in Developing Digital Content from the Perspective of Learning Resources Centers' Secretaries in Riyadh city.

In addition, the study also assessed the awareness of learning resources centers' secretaries of the importance and benefits of using digital learning units in developing the digital content, and the major challenges that limit their use of digital learning units in developing the digital content.

To achieve these goals, the researchers used the descriptive analytical method, and prepared a questionnaire to collect data.

The sample of the study (N=100) was randomly selected from learning resources centers' secretaries in Riyadh City.

The results of the study revealed that learning resources centers' secretaries had high degree of awareness of the importance and benefits of using digital learning units.

However, they agreed that there were many challenges that limit the use of digital learning objects in developing digital content.

A direct relationship was found between the level of using digital learning units by learning resources centers' secretaries and their awareness of the importance and benefits of digital learning units.

In the light of the study results, the researchers provided many recommendations; namely, providing incentives to encourage using digital learning units by learning resources centers' secretaries in developing digital content; holding training workshops to propagate the importance of digital units and demonstrate how they can be used in developing digital content.
