Abstract EN

The research aimed at developing writing skills by using a program based upon textual linguisticsof gifted 1st grade secondary students.

The research followed the following procedures: 1- Preparing a list of essay writing skills that needed to be developed for gifted 1st grade secondary students.2- Essay writing skills test for gifted 1st grade secondary students.3- Rubric scale for the test.4- Preparing a program based upon textual linguistics includes some lessons to develop essay writing skills through for gifted 1st grade secondary students.5- Preparing a teacher guide for the program.6- select a sample from gifted 1st grade secondary students.7- Holding a pre test of essay writing skills test followed by teaching the program and hold a post test.8- Statistical analysis for the date gained from the experiment.

Results of the research: 1- There is a significant difference at 0.05 between mean scores of pre and post essay writing skills test in favor to post test.2- the program based upon textual linguistics have a great effect in developing essay writing skills of gifted 1st grade secondary students.

Research recommendations: - care about developing functional writing expression skills in general and essay writing skills in specific of gifted 1st grade secondary students.

Training Arabic Language teachers on using modern teaching approaches to develop functional writing expression skills in general and essay writing skills in specific of students.
