Arming represents a significant side during the seventies of the last century between eastern group led by Soviet Union and allied countries, and western group led by the united states and its allies .

Each party tried to increase its influence and its political and military force on the expense of the other in what is known as cold war.

This study tackles the most important sides in the American - Iranian relations during the seventies, that is arming .

Arming between the two states exceeded the average of arm relations between the united states and any other state in the world .

The study also endeavors to find the impact of arming on this relation its causes and effects on Iran and the region , and its influence on security in stability and the Arab culf region .
