Abstract EN

This research is about scholars of hadith who refrained from telling hadith until their death.

This was due to several reasons; some of which are personal such as piety, spending more time in worship, their books being burnt, deteriorating memory or sickness.

Some other times the decision to stop is brought on them by others such as envy and being stopped by force from telling hadith.

Research demonstrated that those who refrained from telling hadith to find more time for worship did this towards the end of their lives.
