Abstract EN

The concept of political freedom has been linked to the concept of democracy, which is the right of the people to choose their own rulers.

Constitutional law is the basic source of the rights and freedoms of individuals and the necessary guarantees for the protection of those rights, including political rights and the most important of them are the right to vote.

Is the right way to gain power through free and fair elections, which are held periodically with the participation of those who have the right to vote in the selection of their representatives in the legislature.

Therefore, we discussed all the legislations that organized the parliamentary elections in Iraq, and analyzed and institutionalized the method used to calculate the parliamentary seats in the elections.

All of this study was set for the period from 2003 to 2018.
