Abstract EN

Researchers still try to find out the keys to the traditional text for the treasure of esthetic values it contains in several levels (form and content).

Among modern theories that oriented our interest to this heritage the oral theory which specified the characteristics of traditional oral text and its distinguished it from the written -ancient and modern- text.

This theory dive down the depth of the traditional text giving the reader access to the world of the literary text putting out and justifying the difference between text from its point of view.

In this intervention we will try to apply this theory to a text from the popular heritage.

This text although belonging to the early twentieth century it still preserve an oral poetic akin to the traditional texts especially as they converge with the traditional oral text in many stakes as the context, evolution, structure and the most important of which is that the poet is illiterate and couldn't read neither write his poems, which is an important factor that makes a great difference between the two patterns of poetry and moves the researcher to find out the real poetic relationship.

Thus, we applied the oral theory in order to study the poetic characteristics of the popular heritage.

We chose a popular poem from one of the most important oral poets in the early twentieth century, Ahmed Alattili (Ahmed been Atallah, D.

1974) from the Souf Sahara territory.
