Abstract EN

The present study consists of approaching an ancient Arabic poetic text from a modern theoretical perspective.

It is the theory of the enunciation as an approach of the analysis of discourse, and which results from the linguistic works studying the language according to a scientific approach.

In this regard, our interest is oriented towards the proposal of a reading in accordance with the postulates of the theoretician Émile Benveniste.

Then we will review the different trends that have developed and deepened the theory of utterance in general, while basing ourselves on its fundamental words and the operational linguistic bases offered by the theory in question.

Likewise, we will try to support this theoretical conception, by the presentation of an applied model, namely the analysis of the elegiac poem of Malek Ibnu Ar-rayb
