The mention of the state of Adrar in the far south-west of Algeria is associated with a central figure who played a key role in preserving the identity of the Algerian people in this part of the country in the French colonial period, the character of Speight and its surrounding specimens derived from the empowerment of the Sunni-moderate Islam on the Maliki doctrine, this character is sheikh Sidi Mohamed Belkbir (1421H-2000), one of the most prominent flags of the Region of Tuat and Algeria in general in the 14th century AD.

In this paper, we will stand on his contributions to preserving the foundations of the Algerian people in the far south-west of the colonial period, and to form a real component of the educational and administrative frameworks in the national state-building phase, which qualified him to be a pioneer of the Middle School of Middle Islam in the Islamic Maghreb.
